A BIG THANK YOU to all the teams, coaches, families and volunteers who participated in the 4th annual Santa Clarita Gold Rush. We had great weather, great competition and great sportsmanship — and we had fantastic finishes. Please note, we have changed the format for U10 and U12 boys and girls divisions. First, ALL U10 games will be two 25-minute halves (NOT 20 minutes as previously posted in rules) There are two 6-team flights in each division, the Yukon (A & B) & Eureka (C & D). Teams in these divisions will play three CROSS-POOL games. At the conclusion of pool play, teams will be seeded 1-6 in each flight based on points earned. The top two teams in each flight, regardless of pool, will play in a championship game. There are no wild cards or seminfinal matches See updated Rules for details. We have reviewed the applications and the Extra Pacific League standings and seeded teams based on the information available. This will give these divisions twice the amount of championship games and trophies, and hopefully create more competitive games. ... more

Coaches: For teams that advance out of pool play the following applies: Finals and 3rd/4th place games ending in a tie will go to two 5-minute overtime periods after which if the game remains tied, will go to kicks from the mark. Teams will switch sides after the first OT, both periods will start with a kickoff. There are no playing requirements for overtime only, meaning you can play the same kids for the entire two periods.
